The Delhi Disaster Management Committee recently stated that due to the sudden rise in the number of Omnicron cases, the yellow alert is imposed all over the city, and if the cases kept incrementing the way they are, a red alert might be imposed. However as of now, the DDMA have confirmed that the Red Alert is not yet imposed.
In a meeting it has been decided that the “yellow alert" of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) will continue for some time. However the decision on imposing more restrictions will be taken in the next DDMA meeting, after monitoring bed occupancy in hospitals. As of now, Delhi will be operating under the “Yellow Alert” scenario.
The DDMA meeting which was done in a virtual format was chaired by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. The meeting was attended by the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal and several other medical experts.
