No one died due to lack of oxygen during the second wave of Covid-19: UP government

The Uttar Pradesh government told the Legislative Council on 16 December that during the second wave of Covid-19, there was not a single death due to lack of oxygen in the state. On the other hand, the opposition rejected this claim of the Yogi government outright.

The state government said that there is no mention of 'death due to lack of oxygen' in any of the 22,915 patients who died due to the corona epidemic in the issued death certificates.

During the Question Hour, the Yogi government claimed a single death due to lack of oxygen in the state in response to the question of Congress member Deepak Singh. In the Legislative Council, UP Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh said, "There is no news of any death in the state due to lack of oxygen during the second wave.
