The Omnicron Variant of the Covid Pandemic has become a fresh source of worry for governments across the world. India, which now has a total of more than 250 Omnicron cases is also witnessing a major rise in the numbers. To ensure that the health system does not collapse, in case there is another wave, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority has asked the magistrates to ensure no gathering in the holiday season.
The District Magistrates and the Police Commissioners have been asked to be more vigilant as this is the time when the crowd capacity is at a peak and could be fuel in the spread of the Omnicron variant across the country. The officers are also to ensure that Covid Norms are being followed.
