No error in class 12th accountancy paper: CBSE’s alert to students on fake news in media
According to the new item, CBSE will award up to 6 grace marks to students for an error in class 12th Accountancy Term I paper that was held on December 13

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India has issued an alert to students and parents against an unverified news item being circulated in a section of the media.
According to the new item, CBSE will award up to 6 grace marks to students for an error in class 12th Accountancy Term I paper that was held on December 13.
The CBSE has claimed that it is a piece of fake news and asked the parents and their wards not to believe in such unverified new items. The Board has also said that those who published this news item didn’t cross-verify it from the concerned department
“It has been brought to the notice of the Board that Fake news reports allegedly quoting an audio message in the name of Controller of Examination, CBSE, are being circulated claiming that due to an error in Class XII Accountancy Term I paper held on 13th December 2021 “upto 06 grace marks” will be given,” a note issued by the CBSE on its Twitter handle reads.
It added, “The contents in news report published are totally baseless and false. None of the reporters have spoken to the Controller of Examination, CBSE in this regard and the Board hasn’t taken any such decision. CBSE, therefore, warns the public not to fall prey to such unverified news in their own interest.”
The Board has already been mired into controversy for insensitive and objectionable content in two questions papers. At this time, this kind of fake news will damage the image and interest of the students further.
