Nithari Case: Surendra Kohli sentenced to death, Maninder Singh Pandher imprisoned for 7 years
The court has sentenced Maninder Singh Pandher to 7 years imprisonment under Section 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.

The Ghaziabad Special CBI Court's big decision has come in the Nithari murder case. Court has sentenced Surendra Koli to death in the Deepika alias Payal murder case. The court has awarded death sentence under IPC-302. At the same time, sentenced to life imprisonment under IPC-364.
Maninder Singh Pandher had called Deepika alias Payal for a job on 7 May 2006. But Payal never returned home. After this, Deepika's father Nandlal had lodged a missing complaint on May 8, 2006 in Noida's Sector 20 police station. On 24 August 2006, Nandlal filed a kidnapping case against Moninder Singh Pandher and Surendra Koli on the orders of Gautam Budh Nagar Court.
During the investigation, the police had recovered Deepika alias Payal's mobile from Surendra Koli. After this, the body of Deepika was recovered from the drain of D-5 Kothi located in village Nithari. This was confirmed by DNA test.
Surendra Kohli has been sentenced to death in 13 cases. In three cases, he was acquitted due to lack of evidence. In the past also, the special CBI court has convicted him in many cases. In 2017, a special CBI court had sentenced Surendra Koli and Moninder Pandher to death for the murder of Pinky Sarkar.
