NIA placed a reward of 25 lakhs on terrorist Dawood Ibrahim

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of Rs 25 lakh for providing information about "global terrorist" Dawood Ibrahim and released a new photograph of him. The National Investigation Agency has also placed a reward of Rs 20 lakh on Chhota Shakeel of Dawood Ibrahim gang. Other terrorists Anees Ibrahim, Javed Chikna and Tiger Memon have a reward of Rs 15 lakh each.

The NIA said in a statement that Dawood Ibrahim and others are "working in active cooperation with international terrorist organizations Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Al Qaeda."

India told the UN Security Council last year that Dawood Ibrahim (who carried out the 1993 Mumbai bombings), another UN-designated terrorist "surprisingly" is enjoying "protection" in a neighboring country.

Last year, India said in a statement, "An organized crime syndicate, D-Company, which smuggled gold and counterfeit currencies, overnight transformed into a terrorist entity that orchestrated the 1993 Mumbai city bombings." was accomplished. In this attack more than 250 innocent people were killed and property worth millions of dollars was damaged.

Dawood Ibrahim was the mastermind of the 1993 Mumbai blasts, in which 12 bombs exploded at different places across the city. In this 257 people were killed and more than 700 were injured. Dawood Ibrahim, who is listed as a global terrorist by a UN Security Council committee, is living in Pakistan to avoid arrest.
