New Delhi: Jafrabad Police of the North East District apprehends desperate criminals, recovers Pistols and Motorcycle

The Jafrabad Police of the North East district recently apprehended two desperate criminals, both of them being minors. As per the information shared by Sanjay Kunar Sain, Dy Commissioner of the North East District, both the accused were on a bail in a Murder Case.

Mr. Sain further added that “On the intervening night of the 28th and 29th of March, during area patrolling a police team comprising HC Rajnish, Const. Ashok & Const. Jogendra under the supervision of SHO/Jafarabad reached near Jafrabad Metro Station. At around 01:15 AM two persons riding on an Enfield Bullet motorcycle, at high speed were signaled to stop for check by the police team, instead, they made a zigzag and tried to dodge the police team but the police team bravely chased and apprehend them within a short span.

On cursory search, the police recovered 2 Sophisticated Semi-Automatic pistols, 2 spare magazines,s and 18 live cartridges from their conscious possession. Accordingly, action vide DD No. 17 A dated 29.03.22 was initiated and they were apprehended.

On investigation, both the minors were found to be 17 years of age.

They confessed to their crime and disclosed that they are members of the notorious IRFAN from CHHENU GANG. On further examination, it surfaced that both are previously involved in a murder case vide FIR No. 09/21 dated 10.01.21 under Section 302 of the IPC and 25/27 Arms Act, PS Jafrabad, Delhi, and recently were released from OBH Majnu Ka Tila on bail. They are fascinated by Arms and to create terror among the locals they keep themselves armed. The motorcycle No. Dl-13 SW-4498 was found to be a friend of CCL AAA. Sincere efforts are on to establish and apprehend the source of weapons. The police mentioned that Further investigation into the case is in progress.
