NDA made Jagdeep Dhankhar the Vice Presidential candidate, the decision was taken in the meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Board

After the President, the NDA has now fielded Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar as the candidate for the post of Vice President. The decision was taken in the BJP Parliamentary Board meeting. BJP Parliamentary Board meeting was going on today. In the meeting, BJP was discussing the name of the Vice Presidential candidate only. Many leaders including PM Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh were present in the Parliamentary Board meeting. For President, BJP has fielded Draupadi Murmu as a tribal woman, now for Vice President, BJP has bet on Jagdeep Dhankhar.

The Prime Minister of the country has congratulated him by tweeting on the nomination of Jagdeep Dhankhar as the candidate of the Vice President of the NDA. PM has written that farmer son Jagdeep Dhankhar ji is known for his humility. 

Jagdeep Dhankhar is an Indian politician and currently the Governor of West Bengal. He was born on 18 May 1951. Dhankhar hails from Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. He served as the Union Minister of India from 1989 to 1991 and during this time he was also a Lok Sabha MP from Jhunjhunu. Before joining politics, Jagdeep Ghankhar used to be a lawyer by profession.
