Navjot Singh Sidhu seeks time from Supreme Court to surrender
In the petition filed by Sidhu's lawyers, he has said that he should be given a few weeks' time. He will then surrender in the court.

Navjot Singh Sidhu is likely to surrender in a Patiala court today after the Supreme Court sentenced him to one year rigorous imprisonment in the 34-year-old road rage case. On the other hand, information is coming out that Sidhu has sought a few weeks' time in the Supreme Court through lawyers to surrender citing ill health. If he does not get relief from the Supreme Court, then he can surrender in Patiala Court today.
Navjot Singh Sidhu's lawyers filed a petition in the Supreme Court and sought a few weeks' time to surrender. Sidhu's ill health has been cited for this. It is said that the Punjab government has opposed this petition of Sidhu.
Navjot Singh Sidhu's supporter Sherry Riar told the media that the process of filing an application in the Supreme Court is on. He also said that Navjot Singh Sidhu's health was deteriorating for a long time. There was a problem in his liver, which he has recovered with great difficulty. In such a situation, he has sought time from the court citing his health.
Navjot Sidhu's lawyer HPS Verma said that for the time being he will hold talks with Navjot Singh Sidhu only after that he will say something. On the other hand, former Congress MLA from Amargarh Surjit Singh Dhiman said that the court's order has to be followed, so don't make it a political issue. At present, it is being said that he will surrender after going to the court at 10 o'clock. Former MLAs Navtej Cheema and Piramal Singh have also reached Navjot Siddu's house. Former MLA from Rajpura Hardayal Singh has reached Kamboj.
