NATO is afraid of confrontation with Russia : Volodymyr Zelensky

The situation seems to be changing after the third round of talks between the two countries between the ongoing conflict in Russia and Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine is no longer insisting on NATO membership. On 24 February, Russia announced independent recognition of the two regions, Lohansk and Donetsk. Zelensky said in an interview that NATO is afraid of confrontation with Russia. Russia has said that it does not want neighboring Ukraine to join NATO. NATO was established at the start of the Cold War to protect Europe from the Soviet Union.
