NASA News: Asteroid bigger than the Eiffel Tower moving towards the Earth, NASA said it is dangerous

The taller asteroid is moving faster than the Eiffel Tower in France towards Earth. This asteroid is likely to reach very close to the Earth in the interval of this week. The US space agency NASA has also described this asteroid as potentially dangerous (PHA). This asteroid has been named 4660 Nereus. NASA has said that this asteroid is likely to pass through Earth's orbit on December 11. However, it will not enter the Earth's atmosphere.

NASA said that the diameter of the 4660 Nereus asteroid is more than 330 meters. This asteroid will contact Earth at a distance of about 3.9 million kilometers. There is no immediate threat to our earth from this asteroid. The absolute magnitude of this asteroid is 18.4. NASA declares asteroids less than 22 as potentially dangerous.

If a high-speed space object is likely to come closer than 46.5 million miles from Earth, then space organizations consider it dangerous. NASA's Sentry system already monitors such threats. In this, for the coming 100 years, there are currently 22 such asteroids which have the slightest chance of hitting the Earth.
