Muslim Personal Law Board filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court, demanding the entry of women into the mosque
Similarly, depending on the facility available in existing mosques in India, management committees are free to create such separate spaces for women if the existing building/space permits such an arrangement. In addition to this stated position in the affidavit, the board also appeals to the Muslim community at large that wherever new mosques are built, this issue of creating suitable space for women should be kept in mind.

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board filed an affidavit before the Supreme Court in a second petition seeking entry of Muslim women into mosques to offer prayers. Regarding which a press statement has also been issued, in which he wrote that the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has filed its affidavit before the Supreme Court in the second petition, seeking directions to Muslim women to enter mosques to offer prayers. This affidavit is broadly in line with the earlier affidavit filed by the Board in a similar petition before the Supreme Court.
The Board is consistent in its opinion with reference to Islamic texts that there is no restriction on Muslim women entering mosques and offering congregational prayers. However, free intermixing of genders in the same line or common space is not in conformity with the position prescribed in Islam and should be taken care of by the management committee, if possible, by segregating the space within the premises. The Board has also clarified that the example cited by the petitioner in the recent petition of Tawaf in Mecca around Blackstone is based on the argument of the namazis offering namaz versus misleading. Even in all the mosques around the holy Kaaba in Mecca, there is a practice of keeping men and women separate.
