The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) during interrogation of Murtaza has gathered many vital electronic evidence against him, along with evidence of financial transactions carried out in Murtaza's accounts in Syria.

Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi, who attacked the Gorakhnath temple complex, was not only influenced by the radicals, but was in direct contact with them. The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) during interrogation of Murtaza has gathered many vital electronic evidence against him, along with evidence of financial transactions carried out in Murtaza's accounts in Syria.
The ATS has increased various sections of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) in the case registered against the accused Murtaza. ATS is now preparing to transfer the case against Murtaza to the special court of NIA (National Investigation Agency) / ATS located in Lucknow. At the same time, the possibility of NIA taking up this case soon has also increased.
After the completion of interrogation of Murtaza, the ATS produced him in a Gorakhpur court on Saturday, from where he was sent to Gorakhpur jail in judicial custody for 14 days. On the basis of the facts revealed during the interrogation of the ATS, the investigating agency had prepared to take action against him under UAPA.
Videos of Murtaza had also surfaced in the past, in which he himself is admitting to taking this step due to anger within him over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register for Citizens (NRC) behind the attack on the Gorakhnath temple.
