Meanwhile, as the videos of the incident circulated massively on social media, Munawar Faruqui had to chime in with the witty commentary that added further spice to the already spicy discussion.

Faruqui became a household name following his stint on reality show Bigg Boss and turned to TikTok to X, formerly known as Twitter, his comedic take on the reunion of the estranged lovebirds.

Shahid and Kareena reunite

Kareena and Shahid were seen hugging and chatting at IIFA 2025 press on Saturday while snap-happy paparazzi captured the rare sighting. That video sent fans into a frenzy, ecstatic that the ex-couple is friendly again.

Later, while talking to media personnel on the green carpet of digital award-ahead during IIFA events, Shahid said something about the ceremony and the reunion with Kareena. He said, "For us, it's nothing new...aaj stage pe mile aur hum log idhar udhar milte rehte (today we met on stage but we keep running into each other here and there) hai but it's totally normal for us...if people felt nice, it's nice."

Kareena and Shahid's love story began in the 2000s and they went on to act in several films including Fida, Chup Chup Ke, and Jab We Met. Their chemistry on screen worked wonders for audiences' delight. The two met again while filming Imtiaz Ali's Jab We Met, which went on to be a blockbuster at the box office. They had regrouped for Udta Punjab but did not share screen space in the film.

Both of them have moved on in their personal lives. Kareena is now married to Saif Ali Khan and has two sons-Taimur and Jeh. Shahid, on the other hand, is married to Mira Rajput; they have a son and a daughter together.
