In June, a man committed obscene acts in front of a college student near the Kennedy Pool in Mumbai. A complaint regarding this matter was lodged with the police. After which the police started looking for the accused. At the same time, the villagedevi police got success after 100 days and the accused has been arrested. Not only this, the court also sentenced him immediately. In fact, after receiving the complaint, the police questioned CCTV and informers. After much difficulty, the villagedevi police managed to arrest the accused after 100 days. The accused Ram Lakhan Harijan was arrested on 6 October.

Mumbai Police Zone 2 DCP Nilotpal said that in view of the sensitivity of the case, the police had filed the chargesheet within 24 hours in the 40th Metropolitan Magistrate Court on 7 October itself. The court also took up the matter for urgent hearing and in the trial of 2 days, convicted the accused on the basis of victim's testimony, 65B certificate along with CCTV footage etc. The court has sentenced him to 6 months and also imposed a fine of Rs 500.
