Seeing the dominance of the variant Omicron of the Coronavirus, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued stringent guidelines for all passengers arriving in Mumbai from Dubai. The BMC released an order mentioning that the residents of Mumbai coming back to the city from Dubai will have to undergo a mandatory 7-day home quarantine. The residents will have to take an RT-PCR test and will be staying indoors till a period of seven days.

On this background, the Government of India on 30.11.2021 and the Government of Maharashtra on 2.12.2021 have issued the above referred directives."
Dubai is a hub amongst the International travels and usually a lot of passengers interchange their flights here. Thus, this makes Dubai a huge spot for the virus to be present and spread.
