Multiple Explosions Heard in Jammu Amid Escalating India-Pakistan Tensions

Multiple Explosions Heard in Jammu: Jammu experienced a complete blackout on Thursday, moments after explosions sounded in the city. This development comes as Pakistan targeted Jammu with loitering munitions, with Indian Air Defence firing upon the intruding drones. Eight drones were fired from Pakistan at Jammu airport that were neutralised by the Indian armed forces without any damage to Jammu airport.

In addition to places in Jammu, many other locations in Punjab and Rajasthan were also targeted with missiles fired from across the International Border on Thursday night - and this marks a significant escalation especially with the day before when India struck terror camps in Pakistan, and in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Additionally, Pakistani drones were intercepted by Indian air defence in Jaisalmer, where again explosions were heard and flashes in the sky were seen.

Kishtwar of Jammu Division also observed a complete blackout and sirens were heard throughout the district.

After India successfully conducted Operation Sindoor where nine terror sites deep inside Pakistan were destroyed, the Pakistan brass attempted earlier on Thursday to attack several military targets, including the Military installations in Amritsar; all the attempts were neutralised.

Military targets were struck in Northern and Western India, including Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai, and Bhuj using missiles and drones.

But these efforts were thwarted by the Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defence systems. The remnants of these drone and missile attacks have been recovered in various locations confirming the Pakistani attacks were executed.

Integrated Counter-UAS and Air Defence systems responded or neutralised Indian Air Force S-400 Sudarshan Chakra air defence missiles exclusively last night when they (IAF) were fired against targets moving towards India. Multiple domain experts told ANI the targets were neutralised in the operation.

The Armed Forces of India conducted air strikes targeting Air Defence Radars and Systems at a number of locations in Pakistan this morning. The Indian response is in the same domain and in the same intensity as has been demonstrated by Pakistan. It has been very dependably learnt that Air Defence System at Lahore has been destroyed.

The Indian armed forces employed the Harpy drones, which are specifically designed to destroy radars, to target enemy air defence capabilities and systems in Pakistan. The Indian defence force has destroyed the existing air defence system at Lahore with military drone action.

The Harpy is intended to be an anti-radar weapon and is optimized for a suppression of enemy air defences (SEAD) mission. It carries a destructive high explosive warhead. With an Anti-Radiation (AR) seeker, HARPY can autonomously seek and attack emitting high-value targets. HARPY can perform deep strike - 9 hours critical tasking, any time of day or night, in any weather, and on GNSS-denied or contested battlefields.

It is important to note that at least 16 innocent civilians have died, including 3 women and 5 children, due to firing from Pakistan. India had no choice but to respond and therefore stop Mortar and Artillery fire from Pakistan. The Indian Armed Forces continue to state that they will only respond if the Pakistani military respects requirements for non-escalation.
