MP News: Mirchi Baba arrested from Gwalior for rape, got minister status in Kamal Nath government

Mirchi Baba, associated with Congress, has been arrested from Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. A woman has accused him of rape in Bhopal. After which the police arrested him from Gwalior after registering a complaint in Bhopal. The woman had alleged that, "She was sedated by drugs. She was then raped. She was also threatened that if anyone complained, the child would not be born or would be born with disorders."
In her complaint to the police, the woman alleged that, "She was not having a child. When she went to Mirchi Baba with her problem, she was made unconscious after being given medicine. She was then raped." The victim told that she was raped by feeding her with pills on the pretext of having a child. The 28-year-old woman, a resident of Raisen, has told the police in the complaint that she has been married for four years. There was no children. She was childless. Because of this Mirchi came in contact with Baba. Baba had committed rape on July 17 at his alleged ashram located in Bhopal's Minal Residency. Baba claimed to have a child after worshiping him. He called her and raped her by feeding her pills in the name of treatment.
Mirchi Baba had the status of a minister in the Congress government led by Kamal Nath. Earlier, Mirchi Baba had also come into the limelight during the Lok Sabha elections 2019. During that time he had performed a havan of five quintals of red chillies to ensure the victory of Congress candidate Digvijay Singh. He had also announced that if Digvijay Singh does not win the election, he will take water samadhi. But BJP candidate Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur won in the election, after which questions were raised on her pledge of water samadhi. After that they had disappeared. Then through his lawyer, Bhopal Collector had sought permission for Jal Samadhi, which was rejected by the Collector.
