MoU signed between BBA and RPF to protect children from trafficking
Under the MoU, 'Bachpan Bachao Andolan' will support RPF by sharing appropriate communication material, creating awareness through voice messages and video clips etc. These messages and video clips will be played regularly in trains and at stations. This will help in creating fear among the criminals.
An MoU was signed between Railway Protection Force (RPF) and 'Bachpan Bachao Andolan'. This agreement has been signed to bring in raid and rescue support, capacity building and awareness for a trafficking free country. Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) was founded by Nobel Peace Prize awardee Kailash Satyarthi in the year 1980. Its aim is to end any form of violence against children and to build a nation where all children are free, healthy and safe and they are well educated.
BBA and RPF joint statement said that 'Bachpan Bachao Andolan' will organize technical support, training and awareness workshop for the people of RPF. On this occasion, Rajni Sekhri Sibal, CEO, Bachpan Bachao Andolan, expressed happiness over the agreement and said, “We are proud to be associated with Railway Protection Force to stop trafficking of children in the country.
During the Corona period, 'Bachpan Bachao Andolan' saved more than ten thousand children from trafficking. Most of these were rescued from railway stations. We are committed to work with Railway Protection Force in future also. Director General of RPF Sanjay Chander appreciated the role of BBA in the fight against child trafficking and said that this agreement will further strengthen this fight.
