More than 87 thousand people made a new world record by donating blood on the PM's Birthday
Ministries and Departments of the Centre, States and Union Territories, non-governmental and community organizations and other stakeholders will participate in this campaign.

A 15-day blood donation campaign started on Saturday on the occasion of PM Modi's birthday. Under this campaign, people donated blood by registering on the Arogya Setu app or e-Raktkosh portal to donate blood. Within a few hours, a new world record was created under the 'Blood Donation Amrit Mahotsav'. So far 87137 people have donated blood on the occasion of the birthday of the country's successful PM Narendra Modi, which is a new world record. Earlier, 86000 people had made a world record by donating blood in a day.

Regarding this, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted that on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This festival will be celebrated till October 1 – National Voluntary Blood Donation Day. As many as 5,857 camps across the country have been allowed to collect blood for the 'Rakt Donation Amrit Mahotsav'. The aim of the campaign 'Rakt Daan Amrit Mahotsav' is to collect one lakh units of blood in a day. Apart from this, people will be made aware about donating blood regularly. One unit of blood means 350 ml of blood. All Ministries and Departments of the Centre, States and Union Territories, non-governmental and community organizations and other stakeholders will participate in this campaign.
