Ukraine closed its airspace to civilian flights after the Russian attack. Since then, Indians stranded there are reaching neighboring countries Romania, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova and bringing them back from there. The Civil Aviation Ministry said that 2,135 Indians were brought back on Sunday through 11 special flights. Eight special flights are likely to operate on Monday to bring back more than 1,500 Indians.
The Indian Embassy in Hungary made an important announcement on Twitter asking the stranded Indians to report at the designated contact points for their return to India. Similarly, the Indian Embassy in Ukraine has also asked all Indians stranded in the war zone to immediately fill up an online form seeking their latest location and other details.
