Monsoon reached Delhi, UP, Jammu and Kashmir, Meteorological Department issued alert
The Meteorological Department has also announced the arrival of monsoon in Delhi, UP, Jammu and Kashmir. Alerts have been issued regarding rain in Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana and East and West UP.
According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon has knocked in most parts of the country. Somewhere it is raining and somewhere it is drizzling. On Thursday morning, rain gave us some relief from humidity and heat in many areas of the capital Delhi NCR.
The Meteorological Department said on Thursday morning that the Southwest Monsoon has been arrived in Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, parts of Rajasthan and entire Delhi and Punjab and Haryana. Heavy rain may occur in eastern UP today, so a red alert has been issued. At the same time, an orange alert has been issued for western UP on Thursday and Friday and for Delhi, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh today.
Light rain at one or two places may occur at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Light to moderate rain likely over many parts of Uttar Pradesh, parts of Madhya Pradesh, South Gujarat, Coastal Maharashtra and Coastal Karnataka. Light to moderate rain is possible at one or two places over Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Lakshadweep, Telangana, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
