Monkeypox Cases : So far 4 cases of monkeypox have been reported in the country
The team has advised the States/UTs for strict monitoring. The Delhi government has also started contact tracing of the monkeypox case.
After the corona virus in India, now the threat of monkeypox has started. After Kerala, now a new case of monkeypox has been found in the capital Delhi. So far 3 new cases have come in Kerala. The health department has started investigation.
According to the report, a 34-year-old patient of monkeypox found in Delhi had returned after attending a party in Manali. After getting symptoms, he has been isolated at LNJP Hospital in Delhi three days ago. Along with this, people coming in contact with it have been identified and they have also been isolated.
The government has approved 16 labs to test for monkeypox, of which 2 are in Kerala. Apart from this, the Union Health Secretary, DGHS and Director of NCDC have held a meeting with the Joint Monitoring Team.
