Money will have to be paid for blue ticks on Facebook and Instagram, Meta will start subscription service on the lines of Twitter

Meta has also announced to start subscription service on the lines of Twitter. Meta owner Mark Zuckerberg gave information about the subscription service through a post on Facebook. Zuckerberg wrote in the post, this week we are launching Meta Verified. There is a subscription service of sorts, which will allow users to verify their account with a government ID card.

Zuckerberg said in a post that now customers will not only be able to get the Blue Badge (blue tick) by paying Rs, but they will also get security and direct access to customer support from fake accounts with the same ID. He said that this new feature is about enhancing the authentication security in the services of Facebook and Instagram.

According to Zuckerberg, a user will have to pay $11.99 (Rs 992.36) per month for web-based verification and $14.99 (Rs 1240.65) per month for the service on iOS. The Meta Verified subscription service will be launched in Australia and New Zealand this week. He said that soon this service will start in other countries as well. Although Zuckerberg did not say when this service would start in India. A few days ago Twitter has also started Blue service in India.

Zuckerberg has not yet announced when the service will be launched in India. However, he has said in his post that after Australia and New Zealand it will be launched in other countries. Meta has not announced the date yet. According to Meta, a blue tick or account is verified when Meta completes verification that any account or page belongs to a well-known person, a celebrity or a global brand. Meta authenticates these accounts and makes it easy for people to find them.
