Mohali News : Accident during excavation of basement in Mohali City Center-2, two people died due to being buried in the soil

The accident took place during the excavation of a double basement in an under-construction building in Mohali City Center-2 on Airport Road on Sunday evening. It is being told that 8 people have been buried due to the falling of mud in the basement. Administration and top officials have reached the spot. It is being told that four youths have been taken out and sent to the hospital, while two people have been reported dead. However, officials are now confirming only one death.

A double basement was being excavated here. Two JCB machines were engaged in the excavation. Suddenly, the people working there were buried due to the falling of raw soil from above. Two people have died in the accident.

Such accidents have happened in Mohali in the past as well, in February 2020, Ambika Green's three-storey building located on Kharar-Landran road collapsed. Ambika Green's staff was present in the building at the time of the incident.
