Mob Attacks on Indian and Pakistan Students: Both the Indian and Pakistan embassies issued advisories for their stay-at-home as mob attacks were going on foreign students which erupted in Kyrgyzstan after a fight between foreign students and Kyrgyzstan students took place on May 13.
Kyrgyzstan is famous for its medical studies, and many students worldwide who want to pursue a medical degree, visit Kyrgyzstan, even students from Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh come to Kyrgyzstan for professional studies.
According to Kyrgyzstan media reports, the conflict started when on May 13 a fight between Egyptian students and Kyrgyzstan students occurred at the hostel. Following that fight protests broke out on the road, blocking traffic and even destroying many properties.
The statement from the Indian embassy said "We are in touch with our students. The situation is presently calm but students are advised to stay indoors for the moment and get in touch with the Embassy in case of any issue. Our 24×7 contact number is 0555710041.”
Soon after a few Pakistani students were bitten, the Pakistan embassy also released its advisory for its students studying in Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Pakistani embassy, "So far, a few hostels of medical universities in Bishkek and private residences of international students including Pakistanis have been attacked. The hostels are inhabited by students from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. There have been reports of light injuries to several students from Pakistan."
It further added that all the reports that are surfacing on social media claiming death and sexual harassment of Pakistani students are all false, there has been no official report about this.
Amid the conflict, the minister of Kyrgyzstan said that the situation in Bishkek is under control and most of the international and Kyrgyzstan students who were involved in the conflict are detained to ensure the safety of the citizens.
It also reported that they had received no reports of injuries from any foreign students and forces had been deployed in Bishkek to avoid further calamities.
The citizens of India are also concerned about the students studying in Kyrgyzstan as they share their feelings through social media posts. One Twitter user said, "Our cousin from #Kyrgyzstan .....Please raise voice for these helpless students!"
Another added, "These fucking embasies post everything is normal but they plan to attacking again today why you people are silent why you don’t have humanity emotions do something for god sake please do something for our people."
