Miss Universe 2022: Gabrielle of USA won Miss Universe 2022 crown

India's dream has been shattered in Miss Universe 2022. R Bonnie Gabriel of America has won this competition. She has been crowned by former world beauty Harnaz Sandhu of India. Amanda Dudamel of Venezuela was declared the first runner up. Andrea Martinez of the Dominican Republic became the second runner up. India's Divita Rai could only reach the semi-finals.

According to reports, Gabriel became interested in designing with fabrics and textiles in high school. She earned her bachelor's degree in Fashion Design with a minor in Fiber in 2018 from the University of North Texas and is currently the CEO of her own clothing brand, R'Bonney Nola. This edition of Miss Universe 2022 saw many firsts like the debut of Bhutan and the return of countries like Angola, Belize, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Myanmar, St. Lucia, Seychelles, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago and Uruguay.
