MEA : Over 470 Indian students ready to leave Ukraine via Romania

With Russian attacks in Ukraine, there is news of relief for the families of more than 470 Indian students trapped there. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of India has informed on Friday, 25 February that more than 470 Indian students will be evacuated from Ukraine via Romania.

Government officials have said that Air India will operate two flights from Bucharest, the capital of Romania, on Friday, February 25 to rescue Indians stranded in Ukraine.

For Indians leaving Ukraine and coming to Poland, the Indian Embassy in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, has issued an advisory. The embassy advised that Indian citizens coming to the Poland-Ukraine border by public transport should cross the border at Shehini-Medyka instead of the Krakowiec crossing.
