Massive Fire Breaks Out at Ghaziabad’s Khoda
As per the sources, the cause of the fire is yet unknown.

A fire broke out in a junk warehouse in Deepak Vihar, Labor Chowk, Khoda late on Sunday night. The fire engulfed a wooden warehouse and several houses. This caused chaos all around. The police evacuated dozens of shops and houses in time, without causing any casualties. The fire brigade team of Ghaziabad and Noida, after a lot of effort, brought the fire under control at 1.15 pm after midnight.
There was a junk warehouse behind the shops near Labor Chowk, in which tires and other perishable goods were kept. Eyewitness Shivam said that the fire broke out around 11.15 pm on Sunday night. After the fire broke out, shopkeepers tried to extinguish the fire but the fire spread. Within no time the fire broke out in a nearby wooden godown. After this, four nearby houses also came under fire. This caused chaos all around. On information, more than a dozen fire tenders from Noida and Ghaziabad reached to extinguish the fire. The fire was extinguished after two hours of hard work.
Dozens of houses and shops were evacuated: Noida and Ghaziabad police, who reached the spot after setting the fire, evacuated the nearby houses and shops, due to which there was no loss of life but lakhs were lost due to the burning of people's belongings. The residents of the four houses that caught fire continued to mourn till late in the night.
There was a fire in the godown behind the roadside shops. There was a narrow alley leading to the back of the shops, where fire engines could not go. Firefighters had to douse the fire by laying pipes. This made it difficult to put out the fire. Chief Fire Officer Sunil Kumar Singh says that the fire was reported at 11:50 am. The fire has been extinguished after hard work. No casualties have occurred. The fire is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit. However, the exact cause of the fire will be known only after investigation.
