Famous singer Bhupendra Singh passed away. His wife Mithali Singh says that he was hospitalized for the last 9 days and died of a heart attack. Bhupinder Singh is remembered for his memorable songs in movies like “Mausam”, “Satte Pe Satta”, “Ahista Ahista”, “Dooriyan”, “Haqeeqat” and many more. He had been battling health related problems for some time and then on the evening of July 18, his heartbeat became silent forever. His wife and singer Mithali Singh gave this information.

Bhupinder Singh was born on 6 February 1940 in Amritsar . His life was full of ups and downs. Bhupinder Singh used to hate music in his early days, he started his career by performing in All India Radio. The journey of becoming a singer started with the eyes of music director Madan Mohan. Madan Mohan heard Bhupinder Singh singing during a program, calling him Bhupinder Singh's art khub bhai. This yielded the result and soon Bhupinder Singh was invited to sing on behalf of Madan Mohan. In the very first occasion, Bhupinder Singh got an opportunity to sing with Mohammad Rafi, Talat Mehmood and Manna Dey.
