On asking whether there would be any restrictions she replied back and said “Were there any restrictions during the Kumbh Mela? If there were no restrictions then, how can I implement any kind of restrictions now ?”
Gangasagar Mela, one of the most famous melas held in Sagardwip, West Bengal, may be held from January eight to January 16, 2022. Held throughout winters, Gangasagar Mela draws heaps of pilgrims wherein they take a holy dip withinside the river Ganges.
The administration can deploy CCTVs and drones to stay a check on the activities of the pilgrims and additionally to avoid congestion.
