Major train accident in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, two coaches of passenger train derailed
Veer Bhoomi Express was parked on platform number 1 of Ratlam station. Whose run round ie engine had to be changed. While changing the engine, the last coach of the train, in which the guards are present, derailed.

A major accident was averted at Ratlam railway station in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. The accident occurred during the reversal of the engine of 19329 Veer Bhoomi Express going from Indore to Udaipur, when two coaches of the train derailed. According to preliminary information, the rear coach of the train, SLR ie Luggage coach and D1 coach derailed. As soon as the news of the accident was received, all the railway employees including RPF and Railway Police team reached the spot and after repairing the coaches, the train was dispatched after about one and a half hours.
According to Ratlam ADRM Ashfaq Khan, there is a reversal of the engine of train number 19329 going from Indore to Udaipur after coming to Ratlam. When the engine was changed for reversal, the car derailed. It did not happen on the line in the accident so the traffic was not disrupted. The engine was being replaced in the loop line. No one has been injured in the accident.
Railway administration says that doctors are present here and there is no casualty. There is no news of anyone getting injured. The accident happened at 10 pm. We left it at 11:25. To investigate this incident, we have formed an inquiry committee of senior level officers who will investigate the cause of the accident.
