Major train accident at Gurpa station, 53 coaches derailed
Earlier, a similar incident had come to light in Bhadrak, Odisha. Here the Howrah-Bhubaneswar Jan Shatabdi Express derailed, after which there was a stir among the passengers on the train. However, according to the East Coast Railway (ECOR), there was no casualty in the incident.
A major train accident took place in Koderma of Dhanbad division this morning. 53 coaches of a coal-laden goods train derailed at Gurpa station between Koderma and Manpur railway section here at 6:24 am today. Due to which rail traffic on the up and down lines was disrupted. There have been no casualties in the incident. East Central Railway has given this information. Many trains were diverted due to the accident.
Last month, there was a major train accident near Kumhau station in Rohtas district of Bihar. 20 coaches of the goods train derailed on the Gaya-Deendayal Upadhyay route. The accident happened on September 21 at around 6.30 am. After this, operations on the Gaya-DDU rail section of the Howrah-New Delhi rail route came to a standstill.
