Major road accident on Purvanchal Expressway, 8 passengers killed
Six Kanwariyas were killed in separate road accidents in Haridwar, Uttarakhand on Sunday, while in another incident two dozen bikes of Kanwariyas suddenly caught fire.

A major road accident took place in Barabanki, UP this morning. A double-decker bus collided on Purvanchal Expressway near Narayanpur village between Loni Katra police station area. Eight people died in the horrific accident, while dozens of passengers were injured. All the injured have been admitted to the hospital. CM Yogi has expressed grief over the accident.
Six Kanwariyas were killed in separate road accidents in Haridwar, Uttarakhand on Sunday, while in another incident two dozen bikes of Kanwariyas suddenly caught fire. Superintendent of Police Yogendra Singh Rawat said that about two dozen bikes of Kanwariyas were burnt to ashes due to a sudden fire in the parking located near Anand Van Samadhi on the National Highway in Har ki Pauri area of Haridwar.
Five Kanwariyas were killed, while two were seriously injured in a road accident in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday. The speeding dumper trampled the kanwariyas. Both the injured were referred to Agra for treatment. The Yogi government took this incident seriously and the government, taking action in this matter, removed Hathras Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikas Vaidya on charges of negligence.
