Owing to the exponential rise in fuel prices, and the never-ending inflation, something as basic as an LPG Cylinder is being promulgated as something luxury. The exponential rise in prices has made it difficult for the common man to buy these cylinders. The condition gets worsened in a country like India where poverty still dominates. However, to solve this crucial problem, some LPG companies have introduced composite gas cylinders in the market.
These composite gas cylinders are not heavy on the pockets and are less bulky as compared to conventional cylinders. The volume of gas inside these cylinders, as the name suggests will be lesser as compared to its traditional counterpart, but costs lesser than them too. These compact cylinders are available merely at a price of INR 634 and are ideal for families who have low LPG consumption.
The composite cylinder would have been 7 kg lighter than the iron cylinder, which weighs around 17 kg. Due to the less gas content inside it, the prices are lower as compared to the traditional ones. According to Indian Oil, as of now the price of a composite gas cylinder with 10 kg of gas is Rs 634 in Mumbai, Rs 652 in Kolkata, Rs 645 in Chennai. In Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow, the amount borne by the consumer will be Rs 660 in Lucknow, Rs 697 in Patna, Rs 653 in Indore, Rs 677 in Gorakhpur.
