Live Updates from the Supreme Court Verdict on the NEET-PG Counselling Case

Recently, a vast majority of doctors were found protesting regarding the delay in the NEET-PG Counselling. The students protestors also met with Police brutality which became a national headline a few days back. The delay is a a crucial reason behind the shortage of doctors, and could be compromise the entire health care system if Omnicron variant dominates. The Supreme Court has intervened and today is the day when the apex court will be coming up with a discussion on the EWS/OBC Quota.

The crucial hearing in the case related to EWS/OBC quota in NEET-AIQ will take place in the Supreme Court today. The hearing is likely to determine the outcome as to when will the conselling process for the session begin. A two-judge bench comprising Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice AS Bopanna is considering the case. The Central Government sought an urgent listing of the case which led it it's opening in the apex court today.
