Some years ago if someone said that they are working for a US corporation staying in India people would’ve laughed it off. But with the springing up of BPOs and KPOs across the country made it a reality that we all know.
The same happened sometime back when people came to recognise that there are many in the workforce for whom staying in the same physical office was not essential, and a new concept was introduced “Work from Home”. Both these developments could happen thanks to Information technology and the faster speed of connectivity.
Last year, across the world and in India, the corona-induced lockdown had put major restrictions on commercial spaces and transport – many companies extended the “work-from-home” to all their employees and it since then has been a part of lives of most working professionals across the country. This in turn has helped fuel online purchases, home-delivery and pajama sales and WHF blunder viral videos.
However, post the roll out of vaccines and the dip in infection rates many pre-covid normal activities will start again. As a part of this return to normalcy many employees will be back to their physical offices again. Based on this and her reluctance to discontinue her “work-from-home” status has lead a woman to post a hilarious video which has hit a viewership of over 332,000 with more than 10 thousand likes. This viral video is basically about the comforts of working in their own spaces, in their own way without much restrictions and traffic snarl ups on their way.
In a highly relatable self-confessions of Harjas Sethi (@vellijanani on Instagram) many professional found their own voice. Comment after comment on both the original post or the tweet by Piyushtweets which really brought it to light have endorsed her views.
She says, “Meri rooh kaamp rahi hai (I shake at the thought of going back to office)," and “Ho na payega” questioning the need for the professionals returning to physical office appearance. She shares that working in pajamas is much fun then to put on those trousers or jeans.
The viral video is a must see for those in favour of “work from home”.
