Land for job scam: CBI summons the personal secretary of Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav
The CBI had registered a preliminary inquiry on September 23, 2021, related to the alleged land-for-job scam in the Railways.

In the land for job scam case, the CBI has summoned Sanjay Yadav, the private secretary of Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, for questioning. The CBI has filed a chargesheet against former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, his wife Rabri Devi and 14 others in the alleged land-for-job scam during their tenure in the Railways. According to officials, Lalu Yadav's daughter Misa Bharti and a former railway general manager have also been included as accused in the chargesheet presented in a special CBI court recently.
This matter is of Lalu Yadav's railway minister in the UPA-1 government. The CBI had registered an FIR in this case on May 18 this year. In the FIR, four members of his family, including Lalu Yadav, have been made accused. The CBI had registered a preliminary inquiry on September 23, 2021, related to the alleged land-for-job scam in the Railways.
It is alleged that when Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister, he had taken land and plots in lieu of getting a job. In this case, the CBI has arrested Bhola Yadav, a close aide of Lalu Yadav. From 2004 to 2009, when Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister. Then Bhola Yadav was his OSD. According to CBI, Bhola Yadav is the kingpin of this scam.
