Aadhaar cardholders can update the Aadhaar card in different languages like Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Gujrati, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Gujarati. The UIDAI mentions a resident can still enroll anywhere in India, a native speaker of language ‘A’ is enrolled by an operator of language ‘B’ and the resident’s local language of enrolment may be ‘B’.
The resident may want to change the local language of enrolment to another that he/she prefers. If such a situation arises then the demographic information that is printed on the Aadhar letter will have to be updated in the local language.
