Kidney Racket : Delhi Police busted a racket in the Capital

South Delhi Police has busted a kidney racket in the capital. In this case, the Hauz Khas police station has arrested 10 people including a doctor. The special thing in this case is that this racket was being run through social media. Different pages were created on social media in the name of kidney/organ donors.
People who contacted on these Facebook pages, got to know about their financial condition, their brain wash was done and kidney donation was prepared by luring them with money. Police say that the doctor who performed the kidney transplant is associated with a big hospital in Delhi. With whom the technicians of the OT (Operation Theatre) of that hospital were also met.
DCP South Benita Mary Jacker says that the names of two pathlabs AS Health Square and Delhi Institute of Functional Imaging have come up where the kidney was brought for the test before the transplant. Health Square Lab's marketing staff used to bring kidney donors for tests.
According to DCP Benita Mary Jacker, the Hauz Khas police station got information that a racket related to kidney transplant was being run from Hauz Khas. In a pathlab of Hauz Khas, kidney donors are tested. Police started investigation based on the information.
Police claim that this racket was being run through Facebook. Shailesh Patel used to make a page on Facebook in the name of kidney donor or organ donor. People from different places used to join on it, in addition to those who needed kidneys, people who donated kidneys were also involved. Shailesh Patel used to identify such people from among these people, who were financially weak, then they were called to Delhi on the pretext.
