Khajuri Khas Police in North East Delhi arrested three desperate robbers

An alert police team of Khajuri Khas police station has arrested three desperate robbers with the help of human and technical surveillance and recovered a mobile phone.
“On February 20, 2022, at about 10:00 PM a PCR call regarding robbery was received at Khajuri Khas police station. Immediately, a police team comprising HC Avnish and Const. Partap reached the spot at Sri Ram Colony, Delhi, where caller Azad was found in injured condition,” Sanjay Kumar Sain, DCP, North-East District, New Delhi, said.
He was shifted to JPC Hospital for medical examination and treatment. Later, in his statement, the complainant stated that while he was going to his house, three unknown persons caught hold of him from his backside by choking his throat, thrashed him and forcefully robbed his mobile phone and cash by assigning life threat.
Accordingly, on his statement, a case was registered and an investigation was taken up.
DCP Sain further said, “During the course of the investigation, SI Arvind along with HC Avnish and Const. Pratap under the supervision of SHO Khajuri Khas scanned and analysed the CCTV footage of the nearby vicinity for identification of the culprits.”
Technical surveillance, as well as local human resources, was also deployed. On February 22, on the basis of secret information, a raid was conducted and on the instance of the informer, two persons Shanu and Sahil were apprehended from Nala road near Sri Ram Colony, Delhi.
They were thoroughly examined, during which they confessed to their crime and revealed the name of their third associate namely Sahil. On their instance, Sahil was apprehended from the area near Gali No.4 Sri Ram Colony, Delhi. On cursory search, the robbed mobile phone was recovered from his possession.
On further interrogation, they disclosed their involvement in multiple cases of snatching and robberies which are being verified. Further investigation into the case is in progress.
