Kesari Chapter 2 Box Office Day 3: Kesari Chapter 2, the period drama featuring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday, began on a good note at the box office. The historical courtroom drama drew in favorable reviews and positive word-of-mouth from fans, which enabled an increase in numbers during the weekend. According to the latest box office update from Sacnilk.com, the film managed to cross the ₹ 25 crore mark within three days.

Kesari Chapter 2 box office update
The report further states that Kesari Chapter 2 saw an increase in numbers on its third day after its release, as it collected ₹10.36 crore, as of 8 PM. The collections for the opening day were at ₹7.75 crore while the second day's figure showed a rise at ₹9.75 crore. The overall total collections now stand at ₹27.86 crore.
This is still short of Akshay's last release Sky Force, which earned ₹ 27.50 crore in its third-day collections. Sky Force opened with a much larger gross for the weekend, netting ₹ 61.75 crore in India.
Kesari Chapter 2 had a 26.94% Hindi Occupancy on Sunday. The figures for the morning shows stood at 17.28%, while for the afternoon shows, it represented a hike at 36.60%.

About the film
This is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and is produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape Of Good Films. The film is based on the book The Case That Shook the Empire written by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat, which is centred around C Sankaran Nair and the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
Akshay plays the role of real-life C Sankaran Nair, a lawyer who combats the British Raj to uncover the mystery surrounding the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. R Madhavan features as Advocate Neville McKinley, and Ananya Panday plays the role of Dilreet Gill.
