Travellers from United Kingdom will need to endure ten-day quarantine at home or destination address, Kerala Health Minister Veena George said on Sunday. in keeping with the new guidelines, passengers from South Africa, Brazil, and Europe will have to undergo a seven-day mandatory quarantine on arrival in Kerala.
The minister, in a statement, said all international travelers, regardless of their vaccination status, will need to undergo RTPCR tests upon arrival at airports in the state. Travelers from other countries will need to self-monitor for 14 days if they are negative on the RT PCR test. Passenger samples from countries such as Botswana, UK, New Zealand, South Africa, Brazil, European countries, Middle East, Bangladesh, China, Mauritius and Zimbabwe will be sent for viral mutation testing.
The Centre had ordered 10-day necessary quarantine for travellers coming back from the UK, once it had imposed such quarantine live for Indian visitors. George conjointly said that 3 RT- PCR tests are needed for a global passenger to the state – One before seventy two hours of the journey, the second on arrival at an airport within the state, and also the third eight days after arriving in the state.
