The film was supposed to have Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif in the star cast and was going to be directed by Farhan Akhtar. The movie is written by written by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti. Alia wrote in her caption when she shared the movie announcement“2 years ago. 3 girls came together with 1 dream. But there is no news yet when asked from Farhan Akhtar he said he will definitely direct the movie, which indicates that the movie is still on and will be made in the near future.

But the Movie production delay wasn't a hurdle in the way of friendship between Aliaa and Katrina's friendship. Their friendship is evident on countless occasions including the episode of ‘BFFs with Vogue’ in 2017' Where Alia And Katrina were guests and showed up wearing matching monochrome outfits.
