Karnataka: Stones pelted at Vande Bharat Express in Bengaluru, case registered

Stone pelting incident took place on Mysuru-Chennai Vande Bharat Express (train number 20608) today. Two windows of a coach of the train were damaged due to stone pelting. Some miscreants pelted stones at the train. The incident took place between Krishnarajapuram-Bengaluru Cantonment railway stations. No one was injured in the stone pelting.

South-Western Railway has given this information in a press release. Recently incidents of stone pelting on trains have happened continuously. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has registered 21 cases of stone pelting in January 2023 and 13 cases in February 2023 in the Bengaluru division of South Western Railway.
