Karnataka Government relaxes Covid norms
In the first week of January, the Karnataka government announced some stringent regulations seeing the rising Omicron and Covid cases. However as the numbers have started falling, the government has decided to relax the Covid norms. The state government announced that night curfew will be withdrawn in the state from Monday (January 31). Offline classes will also resume from Monday across Karnataka.

The state government announced that night curfew will be withdrawn in the state from Monday (January 31). Offline classes will also resume from Monday across Karnataka.
The government has taken the decision due to the improved recovery rate and controlled hospitalisation. Hotels, bars, pubs and clubs can operate at full capacity as against 50% cap. Ban on public functions, rallies and protests will remain in place.
For weddings, the number has been increased to 300 from the previous 200. Cinema Halls, Gyms and Swimming Pools are to operate with 50 percent capacity.
