As per trade observer Sacnilk, the movie started with an estimation collection of Rs 9.35 crore on Friday. But it recorded its share decline to Rs 7 crore at Day 2 Saturday and its total collection in the country stands at around Rs 16.35 crore.

Even after the death of Kannappa, it continued to sustain a substantial footfall in areas. The action-drama film is a mythological presentation with very small roles of Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Mohanlal. The movie is doing outstandingly in the Telugu speaking areas and the occupancy has been reported to be 44.42 percent on Saturday. The morning shows started off quite well at 27 percent and in the evenings, the occupancy improved to 58.54 percent.
In Tamil Nadu, 'Kannappa' had an overall occupancy of 19.84 percent with the highest occupancy recorded during the afternoon (23.41%) and night (27.68%) shows. Although the movie lacks a ground Tamil connection it has received the viewer on the basis of the global story and star cast.
The Hindi version had an occupancy of 17.37% in which figures in the evening and night shifts increased.
Night shows reached almost 29%, so they can definitely increase, particularly during the weekend. Malayalam however gave the film a more softer reaction with reports indicating 5.81 percent occupancy with small increment at night time.
Kannappa is a mythological film about the devotion of a tribal forest hunter called 'Kannappa' who turns out to be one of the most beloved devotees of the Lord Shiva and the film is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. In his own pure expression of worship of the lord Shiva, Thinnadu is able to perform such ultimate sacrifice of offering his own eyes to quench the bleeding of the Shiva Lingam, the symbol of complete dedication and dedication towards surrendering himself to the lord.

Vishnu Manchu appears as the titular character and his cast includes a star-studded list, including Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Madhoo, Preity Mukhundhan, Mukesh Rishi, Brahmaji, and Brahmanandam.
The acting particularly in the second half of Vishnu Manchu is hailed as being emotionally touching and the entry of an emotional and sober Prabhas as Rudra is considered a talking point in reviving the movie.
The movie was filmed quite intensively in New Zealand and music was created by Stephen Devassy and the cinematography was taken by Sheldon Chau.
The pan -India movie was produced in different languages such as Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. The movie is about 3 hours and three minutes.
Vishnu Manchu posted in social media the following text on the day of the release: "This moment is… I have been waiting on it all my life. Reading about the overwhelming love that is being received in other parts of the world in premieres and early morning shows makes me feel blessed. Kannappa now belongs to you as well as mine now. #HarHarMahadev"
