Kanhaiya's killer Riyaz found to be BJP member, Joined before the Lok Sabha Elections

Riyaz Jabbar, who killed Taylor Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur, had joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and was himself welcomed into the BJP by the Udaipur District Minister Karan Singh Shaktawat wearing a dupatta. When the sources investigated Riyaz Jabbar's BJP connection, many such facts were found, which suggest that Riyaz must have had a link with the BJP somewhere, it has been accepted by the BJP leaders in conversation with Bhaskar. As of now, the Police are also interrogating some leaders and BJP has also started investigating the matter.

According to BJP leaders, from the local level to the national level, it is the tradition in the BJP that people coming to the BJP are welcomed by wearing a dupatta. In the found pictures, BJP District President Ravindra Shrimali and Membership Campaign coordinator Karan Singh Shaktawat are seen welcoming Riyaz in a similar way.

It was only after becoming a member that Mohammad Tahir, former Mandal President of BJP's Minority Morcha, shared a Facebook post in November 2019. In this, Tahir is telling Riyaz a BJP worker. This post is from a few months after the BJP membership drive. Apart from this, a photo of former Mayor Chandrasingh Kothari honoring Riyaz has also surfaced. Minority Morcha District President Akhtar Ali Siddiqui is also seen in this.

On the matter, the opposition criticized the BJP and accused them of inciting riots. TMC Leader Saket Gokhale took to Twitter and wrote, "One of the Udaipur monsters who murdered Kanhaiya Lal was clearly a BJP member. In this photo, he’s being garlanded with the BJP flag. Did BJP stage this horrific incident & murder an innocent to incite riots? Will NIA bury this & protect BJP as they did with Davinder Singh?
