Video from one of Kangana's recent election rallies shows her comparing her influence and status in the film industry to megastar Amitabh Bachchan's.

Since the video of her speech went viral, many netizens have commented sarcastically on her comparison to one of Bollywood's most revered icons, despite her recent box office failures.

A verified parody account quipped while sharing the video on X (formerly Twitter), "Kangana's last hit film came in 2015, and after that she gave back-to-back 15 flops. Here she is comparing herself to Amitabh Bachchan."

"This is the next level of self-obsession. After delivering flop after flop, Kangana Ranaut compared herself to Amitabh Bachchan. Nobody has ever insulted Amit Ji like this before," said an X account supporting the Congress.

On the BJP's ticket, Kangana Ranaut will contest the Lok Sabha election from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh.

In addition, Kangana's upcoming film, 'Emergency', which will hit the theatres on June 14, 2024, will feature her as India's former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
