The Trailer was 2 minutes and 30 seconds long and was first launched in theaters after it was released online.

The trailer showed Amitabh Bachchan as a new character who guards Deepika Padukone's character. The Trailer also showed that Deepika Padukone's character might be pregnant, and Prabhas fights with enemies to keep her safe.

The trailer also showed a glimpse of other characters such as Disha Patani, Shobana, Kamal Haasan and many others.

In a recent interview with Prabhas about the film Kalki 2898 AD, he said, “The whole film is made for international audiences. That’s why it’s the highest budget, and we’ve got the best actors in the country. We were hearing for the first time people calling me ‘pan-Indian’. That doesn’t really affect me, but it’s a good feeling to think that people around the country like me no.”
